Pastoral Care for the community

At the Church of the Good Shepherd-Protea we have dedicated shepherds who love to take care of our small church flock. A pastoral team supports Reverend Jo in her work to offer spiritual guidance, care and comfort to the church members and their families.

Pictured here are lay ministers, (from left to right) Andrew Wilson; Melanie Brand; Chris Tippett; Thea Ramsay; Nick Legg; Dawn Schofield; Peter Gordon (Isabel Langford not present for the photo).

Need prayer for healing?

The team visits those who are ill at home or in hospital to offer prayer, support and comfort to both you and your family.

Need a comforting visit?

Our team visits those who are housebound, feeling low or simply in need of a friendly face or outing to brighten the spirits.

We offer pastoral counselling

If you find yourself in a ‘dark night of the soul’, we offer the compassion and care you need to help you through this time of loss and struggle.

Would you like to join the Pastoral Team?

If you feel you have a gift of compassion, healing or that you come alive when listening to others and sharing God’s love – perhaps you would be a vital part of the Pastoral Team?
