Regular Services

Fridays Holy Communion at 9am.

Sundays Holy Communion at 9am, followed by tea and cakes under the oak trees.

Childrens Church at 9am, this takes placenext door in the Hill School. Children join us for communion.

Music The Church of the Good Shepherd has a choir ably led by a wonderful choirmaster Prof. Lionel Miles.

Singing is a great way to pray!

Baptism
Baptism is the sacrament of initiation, the outward sign of God’s grace by which we are welcomed into the church.Baptism preparation is on an informal and individual basis.

Confirmation
A public declaration and an act of commitment to Christ, by those who have been baptised confirming the promises made on their behalf by their parents and godparents. We offer confirmation courses for teenagers and adults.
The confirmation service takes place at St. Saviours, Claremont,
where the bishop prays for the confirmation candidates to receive the strengthening gift of the Holy Spirit.

Marriage
We provide the opportunity for you to prepare for your wedding through informal marriage preparation discussions. We also offer individual couple counselling.
A second important part of your preparation and the continuing nurture of your relationship is to worship together within the congregation.
We hope that your wedding will be a memorable occasion and a truly joyous start to your married life.

Baptism, church membership and attending the marriage preparation course is required for all couples getting married at Good Shepherd.
